Dr. Mateja Cernic got her PhD in sociology in 2014 at the School of Advanced Social Studies - SASS (Slovenia, EU). Since 2011, she has worked at the same faculty as an Assistant Lecturer covering various subjects. Her main research interests lie in the areas of power, control, ideologies and discourses in everyday life and medicine.

She first became interested in the topic of vaccination around 10 years ago – many years before the birth of her first child and without any previous personal negative experience.
